We are back in the KC area and so happy. Settled in the Overland Park area. Purchased a house and made the arduous move from the east coast and profess to never move again.

I graduated from Oklahoma University with a BS in nursing and married my Navy Man 11 days after he returned from a year of sea duty in Viet Nam in the Gulf of Tonkin.
Buddy started a three year Dermatology Residency and I began my career as a pediatric nurse, both at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland.
Our daughter Nicole Rene was born in 1977 and our son Hadley Whitney in 1980.
Buddy retired from the Navy with 11 years active duty and an additional 18 years in active reserves. Buddy retired fro his practice in Dermatology in Oct 2014. Kim retired from a full career as a pediatric nurse just prior to our move. We took retirement seriously and planned like we were applying to college. Lots of research and attention to how we visualized this next chapter. Our move to the KC area provided the spark to change almost everything that was familiar and safe to us...so we are truly enjoying ourselves.

Our Nicole is a veterinarian that completed 3 years of specialty training in Exotic Home Pets. Nicole returned to domestic soil in early 2011, after residing/working for 18 months in Hong Kong. She was employed as the only Board-Certified-Avian Specialist in that country. In March she was appointed as the Chief of Exotic Companion Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Veterinary Hospital at the University of Penn. School of Veterinary Medicine. (What a mouth-full) Nicole was married to TJ Tyson July 6, 2013. We could not have asked for better weather as their wedding took place on the beach in Sanibel Island, Florida. Since their marriage Nicole works at UPenn two weeks/ month and then returns to Cleveland the remaining two weeks of the month to be with TJ who is an electrical engineer.
They currently live in Hong Kong where they are both full-time employed.

Our Hadley is a physician who completed 5 years of residency as a Urological Surgeon at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In July 2011 he began a Fellowship in advanced training in reconstructive urology. He was notified in Aug 2011 that he passed his Boards. Yipeee! In July 2010, Hadley and Kristen Rae were married in Georgia. After completing a 12 month Fellowship in Urological Trauma and Reconstruction at Emory, Hadley and his wife moved to Kansas in 2012. Hadley completed a 2 year fellowship in Urological Oncology in July 2014 at KU Med. They were so happy in the KC area and they were pleased when the Urological department at KU Med. offered him a staff position in 2014 where he is currently an attending physician in the department Urology.

Denise..I was touched by your comments about Molly and the photo you included. Brought back a flood of memories with Miss Jones, the Can-can and those PE outfits. (I hung onto my Can-can outfit for decades.) It is clear that Molly touched a lot of lives. I feel grateful that I was able to work with her on our recent 50th.
