Stacy Brown Vermylen

I went to college back East at Goucher (Towson MD) graduating in '73, then got my MBA at Darden (UVA). From there I moved to the northeast, working for General Foods in marketing, where I met my husband, David. Started my own marketing and strategy consulting company in 1982, then totally switched careers in 1996 to become an executive director of a non profit agency in substance abuse prevention and parent ed. Retired 10 years ago from that position and am now a practicing silversmith, making jewelry and sculpture. Given my family's artistic bent, I thought it would be fun to try my hand at creating things, Fun! Over the course of the years we lived in Connecticut, San Francisco, Boca Raton, and now Lake Forest, IL (just north of Chicago) . Now we live 8 months in Naples, Florida and spend the summers in Lake Forest...so we can be cloase to our kids.

I wore the largest hat in the band--very uncool all around! I remember the Literary society and those nerve racking speaking opportunities (came in handy later).

I have not been back for reunions but it would be interesting! Hear from Jimmy Bernard regularly, and also spent time with Steve Kanaga and Bruce Brower so many years ago while at college!

I missed reunion, hope you all had fun.
