School Story

I enjoyed participating in Southwest High School Clubs such as the Spanish Club, Latin Club, and Letterman's Club. I remember acting in school plays such as "The Barretts of Wimple Street" and the Senior Play. I also enjoyed being a member of the Junior Varsity and Varsity Cross Country and Track Teams. I am proud to have earned two varsity letters while attending Southwest. Furthermore, I felt honored to have attended Missouri Boys State and to have been selected for membership in the National Honor Society.

Donnie, it was great to see you at the reunion. I had Dave Morton for World History class. He was a great teacher, and he held my attention. I shall never forget when a fellow classmate drummed on his desk, he made our entire class write 500 times "I am not Gene Krupa." We said it wasn't fair to make us do this. He said it wasn't fair, but it was effective. Please keep in touch and let me know how to reach you if I visit Council Bluffs on my way to Omaha or Lincoln since I have relatives in these two cities.
