Joe joined the Navy sometime after graduation; however, he was found to have epilepsy which led to his discharge.  Thereafter, he became a Volkswagen mechanic in Kansas City.  He was married to Donna Fisk Walsh, a graduate of Westport High School.  He apparently died, likely related to his seizure disorder, sometime in the 1970's.
