Robert Carl "Bobalu" Stevens, 58, of Raytown, passed away October 10, 2009. Visitation will be 12-1 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Internment in Johnson County Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Continua Hospice or the Charity of your choice. Bobalu was born July 26, 1951 in Kansas City and was a lifelong area resident. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Newport News Destroyer and was a truck driver for Convoy and Sherman & Son. He was a member of AR LAY DAH VEE SOHN. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Stevens; wife Pam (Meeks) Stevens; daughters Megan and Mallory Stevens; sister and brother-in-law Virginia and Lin Lagud. Survivors include his mother Mary A. Stevens of Kansas City, MO; sisters Vivian Iddings of Raytown, MO, and Mary Wutherich of Kansas City, MO; 3 nieces; 5 nephews; many great nieces and nephews and a host of beloved friends.
