Lloyd was a neighbor of mine on Oak Street and I would see him quite often walking the same route to school. (up the Brookside RR tracks) I am unsure on the year of his death, but know that he took his own life in either 67 or 68. Lloyd was always friendly enough with me and I with him. I remember being shocked at the time. I remember that he was somewhat ostracized in the social arena, but hell, I was no social butterfly myself. Only God knows in the end what was going through his mind when he made that fateful decision. However, my memories of him have always been and remain fond.
I am glad that Bill wrote a memory about Carl. I was in Carl's 6th grade class and then lost touch. His brother informed me of his passing. I only have the memories of a 12 year old but remember him as a nice boy who I know is missed by his family and friends.
