In Memory

Bruce Greenbaum

Bruce Greenbaum

Harold Bruce Greenbaum, 67, died at his home on Friday, February 23, 2018.
Graveside services and interment will be 1:00pm Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Rose Hill Cemetery, 6900 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sylvia Greenbaum. He attended Southwest High School graduating in 1969. He leaves behind his long-time companion, Dina Giesler, and his loyal dog, Harper, Bruce never met a stranger; he could engage in conversation with anyone. It was impossible not to like Bruce as he was as sincere and genuine as he was warm and giving. The world will be a colder and emptier place without his presence. Donations may be made to Wayside Waifs or the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy.

Words are so inadequate right now. I wish that I had known, Bruce. I wish you’d picked up the phone and called me. We talked by phone so frequently over the last nine years. To date, however, this would have proven to be our most important conversation. I shall miss those occasional “roller coaster” chats we had. I shall miss you...

Walk well, my Brother.

My long time and dear friend Bruce was a joy to have known back in SWH and since when we reconnected on FB a few years back.  I had no idea Bruce was having trouble on any level and as was his style just didn't feel the desire to share such things with others and I understand but it saddens me deeply.  I can only hope & trust many showed up to say farewell yesterday, support his family and closest friends and to reflect upon knowing Bruce and our own lives.  May your walk on the next path be an easy one my friend.  RIP -
