Steven Sellars

Hello old schoolmates... I finally made it to this sight thanks to Grant Anthony... After graduation in 1969 I played in local rock and roll bands in KC... Flash and the Inmates and Goodtime Rebellion were the most popular... I played guitar and my brother Roger was on drums... I then joined the Marine Corps in 1971 for two years and returned to KC and became a KC Firefighter for 25 years... After retirement there I moved to Phoenix, AZ. and was a musician out there professionally for years and moved back to KC area in 2011 after living in Ohio and Hawaii... Now I am still playing music in a country band named Crossthread.com.

I tried to be low key in High School, playing music and trying to grow my hair long... If I got sent to the office they made me get a haircut so I tried to be cool... Actually, my band Time Shadows, played the Good Ship Lollipop dance at Southwest around 1968 with my brother Roger on drums and a fellow Southwest student named Terry Combs on rhythm guitar...They had a writeup about the dance in our school paper The Sachem...I think that was the name of our school newspaper right?

Guess I missed the last reunion but I was there for the 10 year up near the airport at KCI.. It was really nice...And then the 15 reunion was at a brookside corner bar and not many showed up for that one but it was fun too...
