Scott Sanders

Scott William Sanders, 61, died of a sudden illness in Joplin, Mo., on January 11, 2013. Scott was born in 1951 in Kansas City, Mo., and attended Southwest High School - class of 1969. Education was very important to Scott and he attended University of Kansas (B.S. in Biology), University of Missouri-Kansas City (M.S. Biology) and University of Nebraska (Ph.D. in Food Science). As a young man, Scott met the love of his life, Dawn Magness. They were married 40 years and loved to travel together. Scott was a very kind, gentle soul who left this life way too early. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. A celebration of his life was held Jan. 19, where many friends and family reminisced together. He is survived by his wife, Dawn Sanders; his son, David Sanders (Tarah); his daughter, Jessica Bradley; grandchildren, Elijah, John and Kai; brothers, Denton Sanders (Vicki) and David Sanders (Sharron) and sister, Susan Bizeau.
