I believe Bill was killed in a traffic accident while riding a motorcycle somewhere outside the country, in the tropics. This was decades ago.

We will remember many fun times and hay rides at the Duncan farm, or was it the Cooper's (?) outside of what is now Lee's Summit, Mo.

Now this page should be filled with memories of one of the most fun loving people ever. He loved life and was good to everyone I knew he came in contact with. His death in Australia on a motorcycle was tragic. Chalk up another to think of when driving by the school.

Bill and I were good friends.
On his dad's farm he taught me how to drive a stick shift pickup truck and then a Honda 50 motorcycle in grade school. I could hardly hold up the Honda 50!

That was a long time ago. I still think about Bill and all the good times that we shared together.

I know Bill liked to party and I thought it was with my brother, but my brother denies it. However, my brother did say that Bill Duncan had a monkey in his basement and I wonder if anyone else saw it. And how did my brother know it if he wasn't out partying with "Duncan".

Bill was a wonderful guy. Fun. Safe. Respectful. During a time when I sometimes felt frightened by friendships with guys because there were nuances that I didn't intend or understand, Bill was a real friend. God rest his soul. I'm thankful that I knew him.

Bill was in Bali, Papua New Guinea while his sloop was in dry dock. He was about halfway around on his gobal adventure. He was hit by a dump truckwhile while riding a mo-pad, think Honda 50. Dr. Duncan pronounced him dead at the scene.
